Liz McManus, WPRA Barrel Racer

Liz McManus’ horse kept having chronic soreness in his stifles. Her veterinarian felt that something may be missing from her training program and recommended the LARC TEST. See how the LARC TEST helped Liz get her horse back on track and achieving peak performance. She now uses the LARC TEST on many of her competitive horses.

About Rico

Rico is a barrel racing horse that has been using the LARC TEST for over a year. He was originally referred by Dr. Beau Whitaker of Brazos Valley Equine Hospital after exhibiting a weak hind end, especially in the hocks and stifles.

What The LARC TEST Revealed

Over time, the LARC TEST showed that his current training program was too easy to develop strength, speed, and stamina required for high performance in competition. It also showed that an allergy in the airways was present impacting the amount of oxygen that Rico could breathe in.

The Results

After one year of using the LARC TEST to improve Rico’s conditioning program, his time one second faster and Liz is now planning to enter him in the American barrel racing qualifiers.
